Are you an experienced breakdown engineer who loves technology, variety and challenges? For our client in Roosendaal, we are looking for a breakdown and maintenance engineer who wants to work in a modern, fully automated bakery environment.
Our client is a family business that has been supplying thousands of customers at home and abroad with fresh bread and bread specialities every day for decades. Cooperation and perseverance is in the DNA here. On the shop floor, everyone counts and there is plenty of room to develop yourself.

What are your duties?
As a breakdown engineer, you and your team will be responsible for keeping the entire machinery running. This means:
- Investigating and rectifying technical faults on installations such as proofing cabinets, ovens, cooling towers and packing lines (approximately 70% of your work).
- Perform preventive maintenance and improvement work on machines and installations.
- Analysing problems and collaborating on structural solutions.
- Optimise and further develop the technical service.
No two days are the same: the machinery is large, modern and versatile. You will work on large production lines for bread as well as on installations for bake-off rolls, croissants and rolls.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and loyal colleague who enjoys working together but can also operate independently. In addition, you will bring:
- A completed Mechatronics level 2 or 3 education (or higher).
- Preferably several years of experience in a similar position.
- Knowledge of control technology, industrial automation and low- and high-current.
- Willingness to work a 3-shift schedule.
- A good command of the Dutch language, but a word of English is no problem for you either.
