What are your duties?
As a packaging handler / packaging cleaner, you are involved in cleaning, checking and sometimes repairing used plastic packaging. Think of:
- IBC containers of approximately 600–1,000 litres
- Variboxes
- Drums of approximately 60–200 litres
- Jerrycans/cans of approximately 10–30 litres
- The packaging may previously have contained chemicals.
Your duties will include:
- cleaning packaging manually or by machine;
- drying packaging;
- check that they are properly clean and in order;
- removing stickers;
- carry out minor repairs and technical maintenance;
- help resolve faults with the machines or production line;
- working in accordance with safety and quality regulations.
