With effect from 1 July 2026, the statutory minimum hourly wage (WML) will be increased from €14.71 to €14.99 gross per hour for employees aged 21 and over. This represents an increase of 1.9%.
This is an important moment for employers to check salaries, payroll and any collective labour agreement scales. Employees currently earning at or just above the minimum wage may be entitled to a pay adjustment as a result of this change.
Additionally, minimum youth wages and various benefits linked to the statutory minimum wage are also increasing.
