Twente Personnel Services

Three years at Twente Personeelsdiensten for Hidde!

Today I have been working at Twente Personeelsdiensten for three years and in that time I have gained many different experiences within the staffing industry. I would like to let you know how I ended up here and share my thoughts on my time at Twente Personeelsdiensten.

My high school years didn't quite go as planned, and even after that I didn't know exactly what direction I wanted to take. After a gap year, I eventually chose to study Human Resource Management, because both the human and business side of working appealed to me.

Whereas in high school I sometimes cut corners, in college I wanted to make a fresh start. With full motivation, I started my first year, completed several internships and eventually managed to get my degree within the planned four years. Of course, I had a retake here and there, but I was proud that, despite delays caused by the corona pandemic, I was still able to graduate.

During my studies, I did two of my three internships at the same organization, where I also worked as an HR consultant for six months after graduation. This period was pre-arranged as it was temporary work. Shortly after I started there, I heard through my friend that Daphne was looking for an intermediary at Twente Personeelsdiensten. This is also how I eventually came into contact with Nicole. The first conversation with Nicole and Daphne felt right away, and on October 1, 2021, I was allowed to start!

Everything was new at the beginning and the days flew by. I also met Lukasz, who introduced me to working with international employees. This immediately caught my attention, and when I got the opportunity to advance to the position of Account Manager, I decided to focus mainly on finding suitable organizations for this target group. This is what I enjoy doing to this day. I have also been managing Twente Personeelsdiensten 's LinkedIN for a year now and write many blogs for our website.

What makes my work so great for me is the moment when a collaboration really starts to work. Of course it's great to bring in a new client, but that's just the beginning. Clients are often a bit cautious in the beginning, which is understandable. You have to build trust and learn to understand what is needed within the organization. Sometimes that takes time.

We then focus on finding the right candidates. By working with a client, we learn more and more who really fits. And once it works, it often works very well. We have built teams of 15-30 international employees at several organizations, where the cooperation runs smoothly and the "triangle" (client, employees and employment agency) is very satisfied. In doing so, we select primarily on competencies. I believe this is one of the strengths of Twente Personeelsdiensten. Whether it's a small metal company or a large distribution center, we work with everyone. I really appreciate that variety and freedom of choice!

The next few years look good for us. This is because I believe that we really stand out from other staffing agencies. For example, through our close contact with both employees and clients, but also through our vision of being a good employer. We ensure that our international employees are safe and well supervised. We therefore see stricter controls on the temporary employment industry as something positive. With Twente Personeelsdiensten you bring in a reliable agency, and I am proud to be a representative of this.

There are still plenty of opportunities to expand Twente Personeelsdiensten further, such as accommodating international staff and implementing various collective bargaining agreements. I look forward to these challenges with great enthusiasm, because that includes another type of client.

With colleagues who are passionate about their work every day, it's never boring. But above all, we work in a fun group where having fun is key. Joking around is the order of the day here and we just get along really well. That is the basis for the successful future of Twente Personeelsdiensten in my eyes.
